Bloom — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

Bloom is a keyboard for Android. A keyboard can see everything you type, so this policy says exactly what Bloom does with it.

Short version: Bloom has no internet access and doesn't use the microphone. What you type and what you copy stay on your phone. Bloom collects nothing, sends nothing, and shows no ads.

Who is responsible

Bloom is made by Chirag Agarwal Labs, an independent developer in Montréal, Québec, Canada.

Person responsible for the protection of personal information: Chirag Agarwal (Chirag Agarwal Labs), developer — apps@agarwalchirag.com

Bloom cannot connect to the internet

Bloom does not request Android's internet permission, so the app has no way to send anything off your phone. You can confirm this on your phone under Settings → Apps → Bloom → Permissions, or on Bloom's Google Play page under "App permissions".

What Bloom handles, and where it stays

What What Bloom does with it Stored? Leaves your phone?
What you type Sends the text to the app you're typing in. While you type a word, Bloom compares it with a built-in English word list on your phone to suggest completions. No. Bloom does not save, log, or learn from what you type. No
Clipboard While Bloom is your active keyboard, it keeps the last 5 things you copied in memory, so you can paste them from the bar. In memory only. Cleared when the keyboard closes or your phone restarts. Never written to storage. No
Password and private fields Bloom shows a lock and turns off suggestions and clipboard shortcuts. Text from these fields never enters the clipboard history. Copied items that apps mark as sensitive are skipped. No No
Your settings and practice progress (colours, layout, gestures; tour and lesson progress, per-key accuracy, your last 30 practice runs) Saved so Bloom looks the way you left it, and lessons pick up where you stopped. Yes, in Bloom's private app storage on your phone No

What Bloom does not do

  • No accounts and no sign-in.
  • No microphone access.
  • No analytics, tracking or advertising, and no third-party code that does any of these.
  • No selling or sharing of data. There's nothing to share.
  • No logging of what you type.

Google Play

If you have chosen to share usage and diagnostics with Google in your phone's settings, Google Play may give developers anonymous, aggregated crash and performance statistics. These never include what you type. Google's own privacy policy covers them: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Permissions

Bloom requests one permission:

Permission Why
Vibrate Haptic feedback on key presses.

Children

Bloom isn't directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.

Your rights

Bloom collects no personal information, so there's nothing to access, correct or delete. To remove everything Bloom stores (your settings and practice progress), uninstall Bloom or go to Settings → Apps → Bloom → Storage → Clear data. If you have questions or want to make a complaint under Québec's Law 25 or any other privacy law, contact apps@agarwalchirag.com. You may also contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Changes

If a future version of Bloom ever needs to send data off your phone (for example, an optional AI rewrite feature), this policy will be updated before that version is released. The feature will be off until you turn it on, and the app will say what is sent and to whom. The "Last updated" date above will change.
